SurfEars the Story

Some of you might know a bit about SurfEars. The company was launched through Kickstarter in May, developed by engineers at Frankly (all surfers with a history of ear problems) and grew to become a company of its own. Being surfer based in Malmö, ear plugs really are crucial when paddling out searching for the swell. It’s not only the Nordic countries that are in need of good ear plugs though! SurfEars quickly spread all over the world and signed a global distribution deal with Creatures of Leisure and can now also be found in many countries around the world.

One of the reasons for the quick rise of the brand is due to all of our great brand ambassadors! Surely you’ve seen posts about new SurfEars ambassadors that we collaborate with, who represent the brand and spread the word about SurfEars. All our ambassadors are sponsored only through ear plugs and are with the SurfEars crew because it’s a product they can believe in and support which is something we’re super grateful and stoked about! With ambassadors in sports such as open water swimming, windsurfing, kayaking, kite surfing, body surfing, SUP and of course surfing(!) we really do have an amazing crew. Our biggest group of ambassadors, however, is surf photographers since they spend as much, if not more time in the water than surfers themselves. If you’re interested in becoming a SurfEars ambassador, shoot us an email at [email protected] and tell us a bit about yourself and we’ll get back to you A.S.A.P.

Even though the Swedish winter offers some nice surf, we figured, so does Hawaii! We recently moved offices and are now located both in Hawaii as well as in Sweden. With a great start to the relocation in the form of Billabong Pipe Masters the ”Aloha lifestyle” is being fully embraced and we’re ready to save some Hawaiian ears and meet cool people on the islands. Again, feel free to contact us if you’re in the area and want to check out the plugs or just go surfing. Aloha!
